Connie Ragen Green has been online since the end of 2005. A former classroom teacher and real estate broker/residential appraiser, she left it all behind in search of a way to make a living from her home computer doing something she loved.

After a disappointing first year, where she made almost no money and found the technology to be more than she had bargained for, Connie finally put the pieces of the puzzle together and began to earn money through affiliate marketing.

She was determined to help others get started online more easily, and began teaching new online entrepreneurs starting in 2007. She continues to teach regularly, offering both webinar and teleseminar trainings several times each month.

In addition to these trainings, Connie has more than thirty products of her own. She believes that having both your own products and courses to promote, as well as affiliate products, makes for the best possible online business.

Connie was awarded the coveted ‘Better Your Best’ grand prize by Armand Morin at the Big Seminar in November of 2009. This prize included $25,000 in cash, as well as the opportunity to serve as the Ambassador for the prestigious AM2 program for online marketers.

In July of 2010 she published her first book, Huge Profits With A Tiny List: 50 Ways to use Relationship Marketing to Increase Your Bottom Line.

This book is available on Amazon, as well as all major retail book outlets. It has received critical acclaim, being nominated for a Reader’s Choice award for small business marketing books in December of 2010 and again in 2011.

Connie has gone on to pen even more titles, and her most popular topic of all time will be the topic of her book, The Weekend Marketer™,published in October of 2012 and now available on Kindle.

In 2011 Connie began podcasting on the topic of online marketing and small business strategies.

Probably thousands of people every month think they’d like to start an online business.

The trouble is, so many of these people never get started or they don’t follow through and do what it takes to succeed.

Doing What It Takes: The Online Entrepreneur’s Playbook is Connie Ragen Green’s rags-to-riches story (although she wasn’t in rags before she started her online business, she just wasn’t earning the kind of money she wanted to earn or living the life she really wanted to live).

But it has a big bonus – she includes a blueprint anyone can follow if they’re willing to do what it takes to build an online business that will allow them to live life on their own terms.

Now, I’d read most of Connie’s other books about Internet marketing before I started reading this one, and I know her personally, so I already knew much of her life story and how she came to Internet marketing many years ago.

But this book tells things in greater detail than her other books, and when I finished reading it I thought, “Gosh. If Connie could stay focused and build such a lucrative online business with all the personal obstacles and challenges she’s faced, anyone can do it as long as they are willing to do what it takes to succeed.

And there’s the rub again.

Connie says she has no special talents (although, I think she’s being a bit modest in that regard), she just sticks with things and stays focused on her goals so she does the work it takes to keep building her business.

If you need inspiration to start your online business, and a plan for doing so, you will want to read this book as a starting point.
