At first glance, each prompt might not seem like it could be part of a fantasy storyline, but that’s the challenge.

1. They both stared up at the enormous castle before them.
“We have to get in there,” he said to her.
2. He nudged her towards the scope on a stand.
“Just take a look,” he said, “right through there, and tell me what you see.”
3. When he saw the beautiful Madeline Montgomery in her fancy safety helmet at the starting line, he couldn’t believe it.
She glanced over and him and said, “You don’t have a chance of beating me in this race. You know that, don’t you?”
4. The brothers had been exploring abandoned buildings together since they were children. But in all those years, they’d never come across anything like this.
5. She looks so sweet, as always, he thought. But then he realized something was not quite right about her today.
6. He wasn’t frightened, just curious. “Where are we going, Mommy,” he asked.
7. “Wait for me at the dock,” he told her. So she did.
8. That red car is his prized possession, she thought, as she stood admiring it. She knew it could do things no other car could do, so she decided to steal it.
9. She had no idea where she was going. She just knew she had to go there.
10. She was the quirkiest, most beautiful girl he’d ever seen and surely must have come from some other world.
