You want to create interesting characters for your novels and short stories, of course.
Yet, many writers (particularly new writers) don’t take enough time to fully develop their characters before they start writing their story, and then they often run into trouble.
They can’t figure out what needs to happen next in the story, or they don’t know what one of the major characters would do in the circumstances they have created for the story.
