We all need someone who believes in us.
Someone who will help us through the tough times when we face tremendous obstacles and begin to doubt ourselves and lose faith in our own abilities or talents.
Do you have someone who believes in you?
If you do, the odd thing is, at times YOU will lose faith in this person simply because he or she refuses to lose faith in you.
You’ll think, “How could he possibly have such faith in me? He just doesn’t know the ‘real’ me. If he did, he wouldn’t believe in me so strongly.”
Sound familiar?
You might even notice that you start to pull away from this person, even though he (or she) is your strongest cheerleader.
That’s probably because you’re so afraid of disappointing him (or her).
But, more than likely, you’re afraid you actually WILL be able to live up to this person’s expectations of you, and that seems even scarier!
After all, you’ve dealt with failure many times.
But how do you deal with success?
That’s something totally new.
Well…relax.
These feelings are just part of the process of growing to become all that you can be.
The process can be uncomfortable and scary at times.
But you’ll get through it.
Just realize this—that person who believes in you will stick with you through success or failure.
The only expectations you need to live up to are your own because you won’t disappoint your biggest fan, no matter what you do, as long as you are true to yourself.
You just have to start believing in yourself the way this person does.
Try it!
