If you’ve been thinking of joining The Monday Morning Shove, but you’re wondering if it’s just a group of people who talk about writing but don’t write very much or ever get published, think again!
Members of The Monday Morning Shove are active writers, who write and submit often and get published often. They have become a writers community.
Here’s just some of the publishing news they’ve shared with members of the group lately:
Sharon Blumberg recently interviewed me for Children’s Book Insider and the interview was featured in the January 2023 issue of the magazine.
Sharon also had one of her children’s stories published in the Jan./Feb. 2023 issue of Humpty Dumpty Magazine as a Build-A-Book, similar to a picture book for children.
And an upcoming Monologue Showcase, will be featuring one of Sharon’s written monologues. It will be acted out by an amazing actor. Learn more here. As you can see, Sharon is a very busy writer!
Angela Verges is a humorist and stand-up comedian as well as a freelance writer. She is the author of the book Menopause Ain’t No Joke.
Angela’s article A Sprinkle of Laughter, A Smattering of Grace: Applying Laughter in Challenging Situations was just published in The Crazy Wisdom Community Journal. And Angela was one of the comedians doing standup recently at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Patricia Bumpass is a contributing author to the new best-selling book Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude.
Pat has also become a ghost writer this year and has already started to attract clients. If you need a ghostwriter, visit her site at www.patriciabumpass.com.
Sherry Dunn is a children’s author, animal rescue advocate, and a speaker. She writes a children’s story every month for the Humane Society of St. Lucie County (HSSLC). Her first children’s picture book called Maddie and Jasmine will be released this spring by Hasmark Publishing International.
Sherry accepts guest posts for her blog about rescue animals and shelters at www.sherrydunn.com and she donates $100 to the shelter of the guest blogger’s choice.
Linda Lach, another member of The Monday Morning Shove, just started freelance writing and has already written an animal rescue story about adopting bonded pairs as a guest blogger for Sherry, and Linda had $100 donated in her name to her favorite no-kill animal shelter.
Joy Silha recently sold a story to Equus magazine and the editor had Joy sign a contract to write other materials for the magazine this year.
Canadian writer Irene Roth recently had two articles, Feeling Grateful as a New Year Approaches, and Out With the Old and In with the New published in the Stratford Crier, a local publication. In addition, Irene has published several new e-books lately. You will find her many e-books for sale at her website here.
This is just some of the good news from Monday Morning Shove members.
I invite you to join this active writers community and soon I’ll be telling everyone about your good publishing news, too!
